Revenant Cover
First Book in the King of the Dead series
by: Peter J Larrivee

Cover art by: Steve Mardo

Jake King tries to be cool, with his trilby hat, fancy coffee, and hand-rolled cigarettes. But Jake's life comes with a harsh past. His father died when he was very young, his mother is incarcerated in a mental hospital. After crossing paths with the local mob while chasing a story about missing persons, Jake finds himself jobless, hopeless, and beginning to doubt his own sanity. The screaming, empty-eyed wraiths that litter the streets of Providence haunt his tortured mind. This would be bad enough even without a mysterious, dark mentor figure and a shadowy entity bent on destroying Jake, and everyone around him.
Revenant is a Horror/Urban Fantasy novel set in H.P. Lovecraft's city of Providence.

Author Information

Peter Larrivee grew up in Cranston, Rhode Island, and graduated from Cranston High School East with only significant emotional trauma. He went on to the Community College of Rhode Island, then University of Rhode Island where he attained a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Journalism.
With a near-useless degreee and newfound passion for craft beer, Peter soon took on the daunting task of the Yankee Brew News online newsletter known as the Hop Tips. He still diligently slaves over this assignment every two weeks. A few years later, Peter became the Craft Beer Columnist for Motif Magazine, a local arts and entertainment magazine that has become a staple of the Providence community in art, literature, music, theater, and even beer and spirits.
Despite a number of projects and half-formed novels that littered Peter's mind, it would be years before either a completed manuscript would survive the rampant and disastrous hard drive crashes, or the publishing world would even consider looking at an unpublished, inexperienced young thirty-year old writer with a quantum of interest. Luckily, the digital age has made self-publishing incredibly simple and direct. After finishing Revenant, Peter used the online publisher Lulu.com, which distributes to most major eBook sellers and allows the purchase of on-demand print copies.
Since then, Peter has been hard at work trying to crank out both the sequel to Revenant, and several other projects that wait on back-burners.
He is currently employed as the Sales Manager for Bucket Brewery in Pawtucket, RI and lives in Coventry by an abandoned historical cemetary.
